Toner Inkjet Cartridge

So, which side of the fence is it gonna be for you? The Hatfields or the McCoys? Dems or GOP? Half full half empty? Laser printer or inkjet?

Unfortunately for those of us looking to buy a new printer for our computer, there are as many advantages to going laser as there are to inkjet. About as many disadvantages, too. Thus the feud, er, debate over the dry toner inkjet cartridge decision continues.

The supplies you'll need after you purchase your printer will generate enough future expense that it's a wise idea to consider now the merits of supplies required, before you purchase that printer. The two major expenses to consider are paper and toner or ink. Paper is easy but toner and ink are a bit more complicated.

The laser printer will use dry toner and the inkjet printer will use inkjet cartridges. The initial cost of the more complexly engineered laser printer will be considerably more than the simply engineered inkjet printer. The score evens up, however, once the dry toner inkjet cartridge comparison comes into play.

Cost is a viable consideration in the dry toner inkjet cartridge debate. The dry toner, too, has a higher initial purchase price but it won't need to be replaced for a long, long time – maybe years. The wet inkjet cartridge, on the other hand, is sold in small inexpensive cartridges that hold only a small amount of ink at a time so your ink won't dry out before you have the chance to print with it but you'll need to replace the cartridges often.

And with so many things in life, location, location, location is a realistic consideration when purchasing lots of things. It's the same with the dry toner inkjet cartridge purchase decision. Most printers on the job or in the home are inkjet printers. Replacement cartridges are easy to find with demand being so high. Many grocery stores, pharmacies, big box and office supply stores carry a variety of brands and model numbers.

The dry toner cartridge for your laser printer probably won't be so easy to find. Most laser printers are employed in an office with an office manager keeping inventory and ordering office supplies for delivery on a regular basis. They are expensive and replacement isn't needed very often either. For these reasons, office supply stores are the most likely retailer of dry toner cartridges.

So the controversy continues ... laser or inkjet?
