In those cases, you can either buy an entirely new cartridge, or in other cases there are “ink kits” which allow you to take a plunger and injector and take ink and insert it back into the empty cartridge. These kits usually cost about ten dollars and do come with inkjet printer ink. This makes them about half the price of buying a new ink cartridge, as long as you're willing to do just a touch more work.
